Trip Chaplain
Father Barnes was born in Denver, Colorado and has two sisters, a twin sister and a younger sister. He graduated from Paul VI High School in 2003 and the University of Virginia in 2007. He studied in the seminary at St. Charles Borromeo in Philadelphia for two years and at the Pontifical North American College for four years. He was ordained a deacon at St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome in 2012 and a priest at the Cathedral of St. Thomas More in Arlington in 2013. He has been assigned to St. Theresa Parish in Ashburn since 2018.
