A Spring Pilgrimage to Italy
In Honor of the 800th Anniversary of the Death of Saint Francis of Assisi
April 17 – 27, 2026
$3640 per person + Airfare
The itinerary features two nights in Assisi, two nights in San Giovanni Rotondo, one night in Pompeii, and four nights in Rome. Daily Mass – the cornerstone of each day – will be complemented by a rich Catholic touring program designed to bring the pilgrims face to face with the great saints, martyrs, Eucharistic Miracles and cultural heritage of Roman Catholicism. Highlights include St. Peter’s Basilica, the Papal Basilicas, the Catacombs, the Vatican Museums, the Sanctuary of St. Michael, the Amalfi Coast, and many incredible saints, churches, basilicas and holy sites throughout Italy. Of special note is a Sunday Angelus with our new Pope Leo XIV!
Roundtrip airfare and beautiful four-star hotels will be arranged. A ProRome tour manager will accompany the group throughout the course of the trip, and private bus transportation, Catholic tour guides, all tours and tickets, daily breakfast and either daily lunch or dinner are included in the price.

Trip Highlights

Assisi
We begin our pilgrimage with a visit to the Serpahic City, Assisi! Here we will walk in the footsteps of the great Sts. Francis and Clare, venerating their relics and asking for their intercession.

San Giovanni
We continue to San Giovanni Rotondo, home to the incorrupt body of St. Padre Pio. We’ll also visit the Sanctuary of St Michael before journeying to the Amalfi Coast and Pompeii.

Rome
Our pilgrimage will culminate with four nights in the Eternal City complete with visits to the Papal Basilicas, St. Peter’s Basilica, the Catacombs, the Vatican Museums and more!

The Angelus
On our final day of pilgrimage we’ll pray The Angelus in St. Peter’s Square with our new Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV! We’ll receive his blessing in the first year of his pontificate!

Flying Separately
Please note that if you opt to book fly separately from the group and your arrival flight lands after the group flight on 4/18 or your departure flight leaves before the group flight on 4/27, you are responsible for your own airport transfer.

Planning Checklist
Registration
In order to register, click "Register Now" on the top of this webpage and follow the prompts on the form.
Passports - Upload or Apply Today
After registering we will send you a link to upload your passport. If you do not have a valid passport you must apply ASAP. It can take up to three months for new and renewed passports to arrive. Passports must be valid six (6) months AFTER the date of return to the USA.
Purchase Travel Insurance
ProRome Tours will send you an insurance quote as soon as you register. We strongly suggest that everyone purchase travel insurance.
Prepare Physically
We recommend that pilgrims start walking to prepare for the physical demands of this pilgrimage. We will take the bus whenever possible, but this trip will include approximately 4-7 miles walking, spread throughout the duration of each day.
Pre-Trip Video
Approximately two months before departure, ProRome Tours will send a preparatory pre-trip video to all participants regarding their pilgrimage.
Welcome Boxes
Approximately one month before departure, ProRome Tours will send welcome boxes to all trip participants. Items include: name tags, luggage tags, final detailed itineraries and more.
Final Trip Information
Two weeks before departure, ProRome Tours will email each pilgrim the final trip information, which will include the final detailed itineraries, the rooming lists, the e-ticket numbers for your flights (if booked through ProRome) and any other pertinent trip information.
