Trip Highlights

Assisi
Welcome to Italy! Our trip begins with two nights in Assisi. Here we’ll enter into the lives of Saint Francis and Saint Clare, walking in their footsteps and venerating their tombs. We’ll also pray at the body of the soon-to-be-saint Carlo Acutis before journeying to the Eternal City – Rome!

Orvieto
We’ll then take a day trip to the beautiful city of Orvieto, home to the Duomo of Orvieto, which serves as a solemn reliquary for the Eucharistic Miracle of Bolsena. This Eucharistic Miracle is the first Church-approved Eucharistic miracle and the impetus behind the institution of the Feast of Corpus Christi!

Papal Basilicas
In Rome, we’ll spend time visiting the Papal Basilicas. We’ll tour and pray at the Lateran, the Basilica of Saint Mary Major, St. Paul Outside the Walls, and finally St. Peter’s Basilica. Additionally, we’ll have the opportunity to visit the Catacombs of St. Sebastian and the Basilica of the Holy Cross in Jerusalem.

Anzio & Nettuno
On our last day in Italy, we will enjoy a day trip to the beautiful seaside towns of Anzio and Nettuno. In Anzio we will visit the World War II museums and in Nettuno the the Passionist Basilica of Nostra Signora delle Grazie e Santa Maria Goretti. Here we’ll pray in front of the incorrupt body of St. Maria Goretti!
