Joe Long founded ProRome in 2014. A dual-citizen of the USA and Italy, Joe’s love for travel started as a child on his family’s frequent trips to Italy. In high school Joe embarked on a variety of pilgrimages to France, Spain and Italy, and in college he was able to attend the Christendom Rome Program. This incredible semester in Rome was complemented by summers exploring other parts of Europe as a teacher at the American School in Switzerland. As college graduation neared, Joe decided to pursue a graduate degree in Rome and moved to the Eternal City, vowing to return home only once his love for Rome had been satiated. That love was never satiated however, so in 2014 Joe returned to the USA, founded ProRome Tours, and began sharing it with others on pilgrimage. In 2016 his wife Rachel joined him, and now eight years and four children later, Joe’s small love for Rome has grown into something much bigger. ProRome Tours now employs nine passionately Catholic and dedicated individuals in the USA, with dozens of contractors and partners spread out across the globe. ProRome Tours was and always will be dedicated to the evangelization of the world through holy pilgrimage.
