In many ways, ProRome is a byproduct of a Catholic renaissance that is emerging in the USA. Our goal is to be a part of that renaissance by sharing the goodness, truth and beauty of the Catholic Faith with each of our clients.
We have chosen to focus our ministry on groups because pilgrimage is, at its heart, a communal act. While individual travel has its place, there is something uniquely powerful about journeying as a body—as a parish, a school, a diocese. The shared experience of daily Mass, the conversations on the bus, the evening reflections, the friendships forged in the monastery guesthouse or luxury hotel—these create bonds that sustain faith long after the pilgrimage ends. We serve groups because pilgrimage is ecclesial; it is the Church on the move.
Managed by a group of lay Catholics with degrees from Franciscan University, Christendom College, and the Pontifical Universities of Rome, we are dedicated to operating pilgrimages that seek to introduce the beauty of the Catholic Faith in order to then spread it far and wide. With experience encompassing hundreds of groups from across North America, you can expect a pilgrimage that will supplement your faith formation and education model, amplify your mission and ultimately bring your pilgrims closer to God.

Dioceses, Parishes & Religious Orders
Archdiocese of Philadelphia
Led by His Excellency Archbishop Nelson J. Perez, we planned and operated an Archdiocesan pilgrimage to Rome and Assisi for 100 pilgrims. Though the sudden death of Pope Francis altered our plans, the pilgrimage became an unexpected participation in a historic moment—a reminder that pilgrimage teaches us to recognize Providence in disruption.
Diocese of Arlington, Virginia
Led by His Excellency Bishop Michael Burbidge, we planned and operated a Golden Jubilee pilgrimage to England. The program included visits to Oxford, London and Canterbury, with an emphasis on the saints and martyrs of England, especially St Thomas More, the patron of the Diocese.
Basilica of St. Mary, Alexandria, Virginia
We offer an annual 8th grade confirmation class pilgrimage to Italy for the Basilica of St Mary. We also plan a regular parish pilgrimage to a European destination with Most Revered Father Edward Hathaway.
The Dominicans - the Order of Preachers
In 2019 we hosted a river cruise n the Danube for the Order to Preachers. From Budapest to Nuremberg, we explored the vast Catholic heritage of central Europe. We have also regularly partner with St Thomas Aquinas University Parish (OP) in Charlottesville, VA, having hosted their parishioners on two trips to date: the Camino de Santiago along the Portuguese route, and a trip “In the Footsteps of the Friars” through Italy.
The Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter
ProRome has planned a number of pilgrimages to Italy and the Holy Land for many parishes of the FSSP, a worldwide religious order dedicated to serving the faithful through the celebration of the sacraments, especially the traditional Latin Mass.
Schools & Faith Formation Groups
The Chesterton Schools Network
Every spring we host more than 300 students, faculty, staff and parents of the Chesterton Schools Network on pilgrimage to Italy. The Chesterton network chose ProRome because their educational philosophy—rooted in wonder, joy, and the integration of faith and reason—required a pilgrimage operator who understood that the journey itself is pedagogical. For these students, Rome is not a museum but a living classroom where the truths they study become tangible realities.
Regina Luminis Academy
Each year Regina Luminis Academy out of Philadelphia hosts a pilgrimage to Italy for its students and families with ProRome.
Roncalli Catholic
Since 2019 Roncalli Catholic out of South Dakota has partnered with ProRome for its Italy pilgrimages. Featuring Rome and Assisi, the trip seeks to immerse the students in history and traditions of Roman Catholicism.
Saint Agnes School
We’ve partnered with Saint Agnes out of the Saint Paul, MN, offering a Covid-era trip to Portugal and an upcoming trip to England and Scotland.
Benedictine College Prep
BCP out of Richmond was one of ProRome’s very first school clients. This premier all boys school wanted a trip to Rome, Assisi and Norcia, in order to experience the religious and monastic orders of the Church.
Institutions and Organizations
Christendom College
Each year we partner with Christendom College and offer an alumni pilgrimage to a European destination. Trips have included Italy, France, Spain and Portugal, with Poland coming soon in 2026.
St. Paul's Outreach
A special pilgrimage to Italy was planned for the donors of Saint Paul’s Outreach, a Catholic non-profit that builds dynamic communities of deep relationship that witness to the Gospel on college campuses and beyond.
Malvern Retreat House, Malvern, PA
We partnered with the Malvern Retreat House – the largest shrine dedicated to Blessed Carlo in the world – for the Canonization of Blessed Carlo Pilgrimage. Although the canonization was postponed, the trip was an overwhelming success and included Mass at the tomb of Blessed Carlo in Assisi.
Turning Point USA
ProRome organized and operated a special trip to Israel for students of Turning Point USA’s special travel programs.
