Trip Patron

Our trip patron is St. Boniface, the great 8th century martyr and “Apostle to the Germans.” Sent by Pope Gregory II to reform the German church, Boniface left his monastery in England and traveled far and wide throughout Germania, converting thousands and thousands of souls to Christ. He completely revitalized and reorganized the church in Germany, laying the foundations for what would become the great protectorate of the papacy, the Holy Roman Empire. Boniface was martyred in 754 in Frisia (Netherlands)and was slayed to rest in Fulda, Germany. St. Boniface, pray for us!

“The Church is like a great ship being pounded by the waves of life’s different stresses. Our duty is not to abandon ship, but to keep her on her course.
