Join St. Michael’s Abbeyin the footsteps of Saints Peter, Catherine, Francis, and Benedict
Rome · Orvieto · Siena · Assisi · Norcia
The annual St. Michael’s Abbey pilgrimage travels to Italy for ten nights over the New Year, and daily Mass is the heart of every one of them: at the tomb of St. Peter, before the relics of St. Catherine of Siena, at the tomb of St. Francis on Epiphany, and among the monks of Norcia.
Five nights in Rome open the pilgrimage, timed so the group enters the new year with the Holy Father: the Te Deum at St. Peter’s on New Year’s Eve and the Angelus on the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God. The Rome days reach all four Major Basilicas, the Sistine Chapel, the Colosseum and Roman Forum, and the catacombs on the Appian Way, moving through the city by metro the way Romans do.
The second half follows the roads of the saints north: Orvieto and its Eucharistic miracle, a night in Siena to venerate the relics of St. Catherine, and three nights in a monastery guesthouse within the walls of Assisi, at the tombs of St. Francis and St. Carlo Acutis, with a mountain day among the monks of Norcia, birthplace of St. Benedict. A ProRome Tour Manager is with the group from arrival in Rome to the final transfer home.
